To all the Garcia family,
I am so grateful to have known your wonderful mother. She was welcoming and warm from the first moment I met her at the first family Thanksgiving I attended at their house in Corralitos. Margie took my shaking hand and told me I was always welcome. She was such a beautiful woman and I will forever hold her close in my heart. Love Always, Leslie

Letter to Gram...The words to express my love for you are overwhelming. You have shown love to me in so many ways, as my mother-in-law it was a pleasure to be part of your family and learn what a true matriarch is. You were also the best mom anyone could have, always available for a quick phone call to catch up and or listen, at any time. When it came to being a grandma, you were undeniably, "The Best Gram" ever. With your kitchen always open, at any time, we could smell the cookies and other goodies you were baking, always perfection in every bite. Thank you for always being a friend and sharing your life with me. I love you, your Corker, Jessee.

Marge holds a special place in my heart. At 20 years my senior she was my favorite golf companion. I use to call her my surrogate mother and she called me her hippy friend. Marge included me in her circle. I was especially honored to attend Bob and Marge’s 50th wedding anniversary in La Selva Beach. She always treated me to her special cookies and toffee on my birthday. Sharing October birthday month we always exchanged cards. She was a gracious hostess. In her Salinas home a group of us celebrate the camaraderie of our shared golfing experiences. It was near Christmas and the smell of cookies was everywhere. It was sad when she left the Monterey area. But she was happy to be able to live near her Mary. Marge was happily married, proud of her sons, daughter, and grand children. Bragging about their achievements, yet always inquired about my husband and family. I will remember her for her happy disposition. My sister, my friend, my surrogate mother you left me with valuable lessons of staying active and engaged with others. You were the best example of aging with grace. I am glad to have known you. Rest In Peace Carol Gordon
