The world is a darker place today. Dad passed away surrounded by all four of his daughters, two son in laws, and three granddaughters. He was showered with love and went peacefully.
This is the hardest day of my life but I am glad I was there holding him when he took his final breath. He actually did come back to me briefly and said a final "I love you" while looking me in the eyes.
I love you dad, yesterday, today and all my tomorrows. You were the first man I loved and nobody can replace you...EVER.
You are at peace now and until we meet again, I hope you bask in the sun and are happy and romping with Smokey, Baron and Mr. Pibb.
