Obituary of KATHLEEN MARIE WILKIN

  Kathleen Marie Wilkin of Rio Linda, CA, passed away unexpectedly on May 8th, 2023. She was only 33 years old. Our family is devastated and shocked by this loss. Our Katie Bear was born on September 27th, 1989 in Roseville, CA to parents Frederick and Kimberly Wilkin.

  Katie attended Golden Sierra High School located in Garden Valley, CA and graduated in the Class of 2007. After Katie graduated from high school, she worked at different odd jobs, enjoying the variety of life and the thrill of learning new trades.

  Katie’s interests included a wide range and variety of arts from singing, dancing and music, but she was also very passionate with drawing and painting, and was quite the talented artist, whether it was on paper, the wall of her room, or applying make-up to one of her many friends.

  While Katie never married, she lived a full and vibrant life with more friends than you could count. Her sister, brothers, and cousins meant more to her than words can describe. Katie absolutely loved being outdoors, and would often-times be found walking about with her faithful and loyal dog, Ganga.

  Katie was preceeded in passing by her mother, Kimberly Wilkin, and her grandparents, William & Dorothy Wilkin. She is survived by her father, Frederick Wilkin, her sister Makayla Wilkin, her  brothers Drew, Nathan and Gabriel Wilkin, her grandparents Janet & Benny Black, her aunt Shannon Black, her four uncles (& wives) including Daniel (Rachel) Black, William (Gigi) Wilkin, James (Mavis) Wilkin and Joshua (Kira) Wilkin, along with countless cousins, second and third cousins, all of whom she loved very much. 

Services are still being planned at this time and the memorial website will be updated as soon as they are determined.
