Obituary of Arline Rae Kornblum
Arline Rae Kornblum entered into rest on April 13, 2022…after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Arline was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was born Arline Rae Blake January 20, 1936 in Redding, California, went to High School in San Leandro. She married and raised her children in the Sacramento area….eventually moving up to the foothills in Sutter Creek to be near her daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Keith Kornblum, her son Shaun Donald Greenan and sister Janice Carolyn Stassi. She is survived by her daughter Sheila Malone, son Matthew Greenan (wife Carol), granddaughter Jennifer Kraus, grandsons Travis Quinn & Sam Malone, great grandson Dylan Kraus, great granddaughters Josefine Eden Quinn, Mandalyn and Madison Mick. Also her best friend of 70 years Joyce DeWolf.
Arline loved two things most of all. Going to the movies and going to the ocean. She loved movie stars and watching the Oscars each year. She had a quick wit, a dry sense of humor and enjoyed being around others. She also loved ‘people watching’. She could sit in a Mall all day just watching people come and go. What others did and how they lived their lives was of great interest to her. Your family loves and misses you so much Mom! Rest in Peace, say hello to everyone for us. We will all be together again.
Funeral services are pending.
The tide goes out;
the tide goes in;
Sand washes away and
is brought back again.
Every day I sit here and
wish you were by my side,
To dry my tears before
they are swept away upon the tide.
A mother is your first love,
as her children are her last,
A bond that stretches evermore,
in the future and the past.
There are other loves that join it,
that spring up on either side,
But still it lingers, constant,
overflowing, like the tide.
