Obituary of Ronald Eugene Loghry

Ronald Eugene Loghry peacefully passed away in his home in Cameron Park, California, at the age of 84, on March 22, 2022. He was the beloved father of 4 daughters, Debra Dawson of Camino, Cheryl Martel (entered into rest in 1996,) Karen Loghry of Pollock Pines and Rhonda Loghry of Fair Oaks. He was grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 11. Ron realized his life's dream at an early age becoming a horse racing jockey as a very young man. He rode and won many races at racetracks all over the US and his wife and young children travelled with him. With young children to raise he gave up his dream to become a Machinist and Tool Maker, working at Aerojet until his retirement. He was proud to serve as the president of their union for many years. Ron enjoyed scuba diving, water skiing with his family, golfing, auto racing and spending time with family and friends. He beautifully restored a 1956 Ford pickup truck and enjoyed showing it at Cars and Coffee in Folsom, CA, as well as other venues. His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 30th at 4:00pm at the Elks Lodge at 3821 Quest Ct., Shingle Springs, CA. All are welcome to join the celebration of his life.
