Obituary of William Alan Agin

My wonderful husband of 30 years, William Alan Agin, died unexpectedly Sunday February 20 in Placerville, California. William was a devoted husband, stepfather to Brian, daughter in-law Mindy and was step-grandfather to Mariah, Brandon, Sean, Hanjelica, Ariela, and great grandfather to Lilly. William was my husband, the most devoted, kindest man to me. He was my friend and confidant. He could be funny, sarcastic, and he never lost his inner child-like spirit. Far too often he helped me in the garden, killing plants too many times to count which we laughed about. If I said to him “you’re an idiot,” he’d say but I am your idiot which made us both laugh. He was devoted to our life, home, and our son’s family. He was passionate about singing, music in particular the blues and anything from the seventies. No matter who he interacted with, people loved him and his dry since of humor. We had arrived at a point in our life where William was finally able to step back a bit by changing jobs from the daily grind of working ten-hour days to working less as we planned for our approaching retirement. Our biggest retirement dream was to share every minute of the day as a couple together. He was my best friend who made me smile. No matter how often we hugged, it felt like the first day we met. I love you, William. I will never get over the loss of you. I want to thank all of you who have shared their love, sent flowers and cards, and messages of support. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal” – Irish proverb
