I met Janet the summer before kindergarten. We were dear friends for over 60 years. We climbed trees and played in the fields, played softball out in the pasture (which made for tricky ground balls). We were texting during the Giants playoff games just days before her sudden passing. I know she is with Jesus, and that she and brother Gary are bickering and laughing in heaven. As we got older, we would end phone calls with I love you. I will miss her all my life.
