Cooking was one of Larry's talents and he made the best chocolate sauce ever, which he brought to the 4th of July annual picnics along with ice cream packed in dry ice.
I wish I had asked for the recipe. His turkey roasted in his smoker was always perfection, too.

Larry's gone, but will never be forgotten. What a guy! I never, ever saw Larry without a big smile on his face! He lived life to the fullest, he loved to party, and he made the best martini anywhere! Rest in peace buddy, I'll see you on the other side.

So many memories of hiking - we summited Mt. Tallac TWICE in your 60's (or was that last ascent in your 70's?) and took a dip in Cathedral lake on the way back. Couldn't keep up with you on the ski slopes. Quite the gourmet cook - Eggs Goldenrod, Rack of Lamb, Blanched almonds... Holiday meals in Camino. The surprise birthday party you had for Misty at my house, disguised as a St. Patrick's Day party. Oh, and Halloween and St. Paddy's parties too. That beautiful wooden kayak you shaped and made in your garage. You loved owning and displaying artwork by artists whom you knew personally (Claudia Draper, Sue Denega, Margie Lopez-Read, Rod Brawley, to name a few). Never had a martini with you, but heard the stories :). Thank you for such great memories. AND thank you for inviting me to join the walking group, where I met so many great friends, including John.
With lots of love,
Emogene
