Obituary of LONNIE JAY MCCRACKEN

Lonnie Jay McCracken passed away in his home on July 30, 2021, in El Dorado Hills, California. He was 75 years old. Lonnie was the eighth born child to John Theodore McCracken and Alma Lois Pfister McCracken on November 19, 1945, in Delta, Colorado. He was a local El Dorado County electrical contractor, L&M Electric, for 47 years. He was also a general contractor and built several homes in the community where he lived. He was known for his bright blue eyes, somewhat mischievous smile, but mostly for his quick wit and endless work ethic. A natural born mechanical wizard. Everyone around him knew he could build anything, fix anything, and create something from nothing at the drop of a hat. He was beloved to all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Deborah Marie Smith McCracken; son Delbert Jay McCracken and wife Cherith, son Steven Russell McCracken and wife Renay, granddaughter Heather Filice, granddaughter Jessica and husband Brian Barnes, granddaughter Brooke and husband Avery Jennings; His great granddaughters Kiley Holman, Ella Barnes, and Maisie Jennings; his great grandsons Maximus Jennings and Brian Barnes. His wishes were for no formal services to be held at this time.
