Obituary of KAREN ANN MOVINSKY
On Monday, March 22, 2021, Karen Ann Movinsky, loving wife and mother of three children, passed away at the age of 69. She was born on January 11, 1952 in Welch, WV to Paul Branch and Deloras (Romans) Johnson. On July 8, 1978, she married her husband and best friend William J. Movinsky. They raised three children together Vincent, Kathryn, and William. Karen loved to be outdoors, fishing and camping, but could be just as happy in her own backyard. Most would remember her from her many years working at Perko’s on Henderson, and some may have had the privilege of spending time with her on the lake or softball field. Her family will remember her for her love of cooking family meals, her love of classic rock, and her dancing in the kitchen. She had a soft laugh, a gentle smile, and a free spirit. She never asked anyone for much other than friendship and love, and she would not hesitate to help those around her. She lived a simple life and appreciated the little things. She loved her husband and children unconditionally and enjoyed being a grandma more than anything. She was a beautiful person inside and out, and loved by many.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Paul H. Branch, her mother, Deloras R. Johnson, and her stepfather Donald F. Johnson. She is survived by her husband William J. Movinsky, her son Vincent P. Gaudio (children Alissa, Trent, Chloe, Vinny, Lance, and Caden), her daughter Kathryn (Jorge) Gonzalez (children Olivia and Maddalyn), and her son William E. (Joanna) Movinsky (children Camron and Sophia). Her 7 brothers Paul, Ken, and Jeff Branch & Fred, Doug, Dan and David Johnson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
