Obituary of JOSEPH PETER PACESAS JR.

Joseph Peter Pacesas Jr. 3/15/1944 – 10/23/2020 Joe passed peacefully in bed on Friday October 23rd 2020, in his home in Placerville California at the age of 76. He was born on March 15th 1944 in Hyannis Massachusetts, to Joseph Peter Pacesas Sr. and Patricia Naomi Nickerson. He graduated from Linden Union High School on June 7th 1962. And went on to graduate from San Joaquin-Delta College with an Associate in Arts degree on January 29th 1965. He gained a Bachelor of Science degree from Fresno State on January 23rd 1972. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked on radio equipment during his time in the army while stationed in Vietnam. He was Honorably Discharged from the Armed Forces of the United States of America on April 1st 1973. He got his start working for the federal government under the Department of Defense. He found his way into quality assurance and became a member of the American Society for Quality Control, as a Quality Engineer. He made significant contributions during his career spanning nearly 40 years. He lived in numerous places in the Central Valley and the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains in California. He also lived in Cave Creek, Phoenix, and Green Valley in Arizona during that time. He enjoyed music, gardening, riding horses, getting apple fritters from Apple Hill, and spending time with his family and friends. He was known as a bit of a joker and was always able to laugh and see the bright side of things. He is survived by his sister Kathryn Smith, his niece Denise McGhee, his two children Erik W. Pacesas and Janelle M. Brown, and his two grandchildren Shaylee Brown and Weston Brown. R.I.P.
