Obituary of KEITH EDWARD BAUMERT

Keith Edward Baumert April 3, 1941- September 18, 2020 Keith Edward Baumert, age 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18 th , 2020, surrounded by the love of his family, after a long battle with cancer, at his home in Placerville, California. Keith was born in Gilroy, California, on April 3 rd , 1941. He spent his formative years there and in Morgan Hill, before joining the Army in March of 1963. He left the service in March of 1966, and in 1970, moved to San Jose California to raise his family. Upon retirement, Keith moved to Placerville, California. Keith was an avid tinkerer, and spent his time working on his beloved car collection, preparing them for car shows throughout the state. His 1929 Ford Highboy and 1971 Camaro won numerous awards in the street rod category. He also enjoyed his time with the Tuesday Hot Rod Breakfast Car Club. Keith loved fast cars, fishing and his family. He is survived by his wife, Kandice Bloch; his brother, Robert E. Baumert; his daughters from a previous marriage, Susan Jessup and Kelly A. Halaburka; son-in-law, Craig W. Jessup; granddaughters, Brittany Jarjoura and Haley V. Jessup; his nephew, Robert K. Baumert and niece, Lori Beltran.
