Hello Joy,
I remember your dad well. I knew him in high school and played football with him there too. So many folks don't know what a rough and tumble guy he could be. He was such a nice guy in high school but when he played football he played really hard. One afternoon after being hit particularly hard by Brian in practice I made an off color comment to him. He said to me "You're a regular Bob Hope....huh"?
I never heard Brian swear. Everyone respected Brian. He didn't ask for your respect, he demanded it just by being the guy he was. I lost contact with Brian after high school. So many of us go different ways, get married, get totally involved with new family, jobs and life, that staying in touch with high school friends is nearly impossible. Brian was unforgettable and I always knew he would become a stellar man. I'm glad you got to love him.
