Obituary of GEORGE VERNON GUEST

George Guest of Placerville, CA born January 7, 1935 in Clark, South Dakota passed away at the age of 84 on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 with his wife and family at his side. George is survived by his loving wife Sandra Guest, four children: Vickie Gunn, Chris (Bill) Coyan, Tamara Guest, Mike (Lori) Guest; two stepchildren: Michael Naquin, Diane (Rob) Page, sister Shirley (Bud) Kamler, eleven grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. George worked as an auto mechanic for over 54 years in El Dorado County, he retired at age 70. During his retirement he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going on outings to Red Hawk Casino with his wife, camping trips, family BBQs, and working on home projects. George loved his family and sharing stories of the past; his stories were a delight and something we will all miss but forever cherish. He loved telling his jokes and making everyone laugh. George knew no strangers, he was truly one of a kind and one of the last in his generation of our family. George will be missed dearly by so many. Until we meet again…. A Celebration of Life for George Guest will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019, 12pm-3:30pm at the Diamond Springs Fireman’s Hall 3734 China Garden Road, Diamond Springs, CA 95619. We look forward to this time together to remember George and to share stories and memories.
