PETER GOODREMOTE

Obituary of PETER JOHN GOODREMOTE

Peter J. Goodremote, 61, died at home after a long illness on Thursday, May 9, 2019, with his loving wife and Maw at his side. He was born on June 18, 1957, to Warren Goodremote, Jr., and Diane (Goodremote) Bleskacek. He grew up in New Auburn, Wisconsin, where he fished, played football and basketball, rode his motorcycle (sometimes on one wheel), and, every Sunday, watched his beloved Green Bay Packers with his Maw. He met the love of his life, Laurie Gower, in college and moved west, landing in Los Angeles, where he turned his passion for motorcycles into a successful business, Priced Rite Used Cycles. He and Laurie were married on September 10, 1983. After 10 years in LA, while on a motorcycle trip, they bought a piece of land and built their home in Placerville, California, where every day was "Just another Beautiful Day in Paradise." He (with Laurie on the back) rode his Goldwing on the back roads of the Sierra foothills and mountains, and, every weekend in the summer and fall, up to Tahoe just for lunch and sometimes a football bet or two. He continued cheering on the Packers, calling his Maw 15 times during the game, and expanded his love of football by founding Full Moon Fantasy League. He opened Town & Country Deposition Service and ran it until his illness forced his retirement. He loved talking on the phone to all the legal assistants, closing his conversations with, "We'll be there with a smile on our face and sunshine in our hearts." He left behind his wife of 35 years Laurie Gower, his Maw Diane Bleskacek, his mother and father-in-law Joanne and Gordy Gower, brother-in-law Rick (Carrie) Gower, nephews Eric and Alex (Erika) Gower, his cousins (the "Brothers from Another Mother") Chuck (Cindy), Mark, and Mike (Debbie) Goodremote, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Goodremote, Jr., his maternal grandparents, Ella and Otto Mittelstadt, and his paternal grandparents, Warren and Elsie Goodremote. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Becoming Inn in Chetek, Wisconsin.
