Obituary of MARY ANN - CLARK

MaryAnn “Maggie” Clark (nee Miskovitz) 19 February 1933 – 26 February 2019 MaryAnn, a long time resident of Norwood, NJ passed away from congestive heart failure, in Placerville, CA, where she moved in with her eldest daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren, her parents Vera and Edward Miskovitz, and her brother Edward Miskovitz. She is survived by her children, Deborah Blackman; Warren “Buddy” (Linda Sue) Clark; Bonnie (Wayne) Duty; and Nancy (Leonard) Noble. She was a proud grandmother to Kelly Murray, Stephanie (Paul) Budinich, Shannon (Ryan) Yourkvitch, Amanda (John) Dilorio, Le-Ann (Guy) Griese, and Trevor Twist; as well as 8 great grandchildren, Cody, Ella, Julie, Charlotte; Charlie, Violet; Gabriel; Nicole. MaryAnn was raised in Bergenfield. While in high school, she and her friend, Vicky, were involved in decorating sets for plays and musicals, which they still talked about seven decades later. She still kept in touch with classmates. She moved to Norwood in 1950, where she lived in the same house on Demarest Street for 68 years. In later years, she took many trips to Naples, Florida, enjoying the company of her dear gentleman friend, Ray King. She also traveled frequently over the years to Northern California to spend time with her three daughters and their families. She retired as a nurse’s aide but continued to help whenever needed with many friends, loved ones, and family members. She was compassionate about helping the sick and dying, carefully tending to not only the patient, but their family members as well. She loved dropping a few pennies into the local slot machines, going on as many senior citizen trips to the casinos as she could. She never forgot a birthday or an anniversary, and would hand write a card or letter to all in her address books. We’re sure she put many a smile on folks when they looked at their mail, and saw her handwriting. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, 16 March at 11:00 in the Community Church, 1 Spring Street, Harrington Park. In lieu of flowers, instead, please consider a donation to your local American Heart Association, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, or CLAWS Adoption Center in Closter, NJ.
