Obituary of KAREN DIANE SMITH

In Loving Memory Karen Diane 'Pendleton' Smith, age 85, passed away December 20th in her Cameron Park home. Karen spent her last moments with her loving husband Don and younger daughter Cheryl. Karen was born March 25th, 1933 in Oakland, CA. She married her high school love Don. Don and Karen raised their three children, Kathy, Cheryl, and Russell in Belmont. After the children all left the house and began families of their own Don and Karen moved to Arnold where they enjoyed the outdoors. Karen loved to play golf, even after being unable to play she continued her passion by watching tournaments. After moving to Cameron Park to be closer to family she enjoyed playing cards with friends but also took as much delight in reading a book at home. Karen was diagnosed with cancer and wasn't given long to live, but the strong woman she was, was able to fight it for another few decades. Karen is lovingly remembered by her husband, two brothers, three children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
