Obituary of NORMAN CLIFTON SMITH
The family of Norman Smith sadly needs to announce his passing. Norman was born on March 1, 1936 and passed on May 30th, 2018 at age 82. He was another unfortunate victim of lymphoma. He survived his parents, Arthur William Smith and Hazel Lee (Clifton) Smith. He will be fondly remembered by his sister, Maxine Sanders and brother, Raymond Smith, his 2 sons, Michael Smith and Erik Pignata, his 3 grandchildren, Nathan, Bradley and Rayna, his 1 great-grandson, Carson, as well as many extended family and friends.
Norman had a distinguished career as a Biological Sciences Instructor specializing in Zoology at San Joaquin Delta College. He had a Masters of Science degree from the University of Arkansas, held a doctorate in Zoology, and was also a Reverend who took pleasure in presiding over friend's weddings. He enjoyed nature and camping - taking the family on regular trips to obscure, remote locations. He also served our country in the US Navy as a young man - thank you for your service, Dad.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Folsom Senior Center on June 22nd 2018 at 12:30pm with a short slide show and time for people to say anything they would like about their memories of him. The address is 50 Natoma St., Folsom CA 95630 - (916) 355-7285.
