Obituary of CLAUDIA RUTH FRYER
Claudia Ruth Bruckler was born in Lynwood, California, July 5, 1937, the third child and only daughter of Jacob and Naomi Bruckler.
Claudia met the love of her life, Merwin Francis Fryer at a church youth camp in Southern California. They were married on April 21st, 1956 at The Little Chapel Around The Corner in Las Vegas and made their home in Whittier, California where their first two children, Lori Kim and Larry Jacob, were born.
Claudia and Merwin moved their family from Whittier in 1962 and settled in Fair Oaks where they welcomed their third child, Daniel Loren.
Claudia enjoyed her role as wife and mother along with raising many cats, dogs, chickens and a garden. Their family attended Orangevale Assembly of God for over 15 years where they met many of their lifelong friends.
Claudia was an excellent cook and loved to prepare special and delicious meals for others, in addition to keeping a nicely decorated, welcoming home.
Claudia was very artistic and mastered painting, ceramics, making clothing and jewelry, and loved music, but Claudia was best known for her beautiful and delicious cakes - most notably her wedding cakes. It is very likely that the majority of people in this room today have not only eaten her cake, but have also had her make a cake for one of their special occasions.
Claudia and Merwin have five grandchildren: Mathew Jeremy, Christopher William, and Andrew Jacob, sons of Lori and Roger Moon, along with Colton Jacob and Tressa Kristine, son and daughter of Larry and Robin Fryer. The family tree would not be complete without mentioning Ping, beloved and now deceased, pug of Dan and Carol Fryer.
Claudia and Merwin also have four great grand children: Asher Nolan and Weston Lucas, sons of Mathew and Randi Moon, and Isla Quinn, daughter and Silas, unborn son of Christopher and Sarah Moon.
Claudia never let an opportunity pass when she could share her faith, love, and trust in Jesus. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 22, 2018. Claudia is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grand children, two brothers Robert and Jacob Bruckler, and her husband of 61 years, Merwin Fryer.
Claudia Ruth Fryer was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. Her memory will live on as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, dear friend of many, child of God, and follower of Jesus.
