Obituary of KELLY PHILLIP GASTALDI
Kelly Phillip Gastaldi, 63, passed away peacefully in his home early Wednesdaymorning after a long battle with cancer. Kelly was born in Smith Flat, CA to Anthony Gastaldi and Hazel Cheney. He attended grade school in Placerville and graduated from EDHS. He attended local colleges. He served an LDS mission to Italy.
After his mission he met his wife of 36 years, Lorraine Phillips. Together they raised their 6 children. Kelly was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a football coach, volunteer firefighter, EMT, Doctor of Naturopathy, and general contractor. Kelly loved camping, cooking, and serving others. He spent time working with ARP and AA. Kelly was also dedicated to his Church, having served as a Bishop and in other capacities.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Albert Gastaldi. He is survived by his eternal companion, Lorraine, their children; Patrice (Logan) Fry, Kaylene (Daniel) Wiser, Hazen Gastaldi, Afton (Anthony) Poulsen, KelliAnn Gastaldi, Hannah (Curtis) Campbell, and 7 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers; Harvard Gastaldi and Peter Gastaldi, and sister, Anita York.
He will be greatly missed.
