Obituary of WILLIAM "NELSON" YOUNG

Nelson was born in Philadelphia, PA on the 28th of March, 1947 to the proud parents of William S. Young and Florence Hammond Young. After what could be considered a classic 1950's American childhood, and a few impetuous teenage years, Nelson joined the military and served as a Naval Airman from 1966 to 1969. Shortly after leaving the Service, he married his wife of 47 years, Sherry. Together they raised two children, Mahala and Rocky, with a love and devotion that created a bond stronger than paternal or domestic, one of true friendship, adoration, and deep affection. Nelson created that bond with many in his lifetime, and those who met him, even briefly, quickly recognized his integrity, his humanity, and strong character. Nelson was, is, and will continue to be widely loved and deeply missed. We invite you to join us in celebrating his life and memory. Please feel free to share the invitation.
