Obituary of WILLIAM DUANE HALL

Feb. 27,1933 - Sept. 22, 2017 Bill Hall (84), of Garden Valley, CA passed away after a brief illness. Born in Berkeley, CA, Bill grew up in the Bay Area and became a disabled veteran in 1954. He held several jobs before finally mastering one, roofing. In 1970, Bill packed up the family and moved to Pollock Pines, where he continued roofing throughout El Dorado County until he fully retired at the age of 78. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Hall. He is survived by his daughters, Donna Byler, Rhonda Azevedo, Terri Olson, Sheri Larson and Lauren Gramch. Sons, Don Marks, Richard Marks, II and Daniel Marks. Sisters, Nancy Jenkins, Diane Brewer and Angie Scalice. 25 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Bill enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, fishing, collecting coins - stamps, and reading western novels. He was proud to have been a member and past president of the Judge Roy Bean Club. He loved telling stories of his adventures in life to anyone who would listen. Beloved father, grandpa and friend. He will be greatly missed by all.
