Mom I was thinking about you, tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I really wish you were here with us. Christmas was your favorite holiday. I remember growing up how you had the house decked out and nice and your 20 year old candy canes that were only for the Christmas tree. You always tried to make Christmas big with our family together. Your turkey tamales and mashed potatoes with gravy. Your cranberry sauce you made from scratch. Your pies.. I miss you so much. Especially around the holidays. I never realized how much I took it for granted when you were here till I got older.. I love you mom. You are never forgotten.

Justin, this is a fittingly beautiful and loving testament to a beautiful and loving person. She touched so many hearts and brought her special brand of love to so many of us (both 2-legged and 4-legged). I am certainly saddened by her passing, but so lucky to have been part of her life. Thank you for taking such good care of her from that first kiss forward.
