I just heard yesterday (08MAR19) of Kirk's passing. This was disturbing and very sad to hear of this a year later. I had a long time friendship with Kirk from sailing on Carquinez, bicycling the Flume Trail at Spooner Lake/Lake Tahoe and numerous visits/stays with him after his move to Incline Village and then back to Lafayette. Julie and the children were adorable, and I have always considered him and his family close friends. My lifestyle in those times were as a delivery skipper of private vessels, and that had me traveling extensively, which is likely why our continuing contact waned. This news is very saddening for me. I wish the most sincere condolences to his family and friends. May he Rest in Peace.
